14 August 2014

With Casual Connect starting tomorrow, my real job is currently spilling over into my free time taking up the hours I would normally work on my hobby startup. The project has therefore not progressed significantly in the past few weeks. While this is not optimal, I fully expected this to happen as my real job takes priority over pet projects.

To ensure I keep up my writing cycle I have therefore dug into the archives and found the video of my Everybody Edits presentation from Flash Gaming Licence 2011.

Differently from my current efforts, Everybody Edits wasn't planned but grew organically from a small multiplayer experiment. While it never reached the financial success I am aiming for with the hobby startup, I am bringing many takeaways from Everybody Edits with me.

So if you have an hour, above is my 2011 FGS presentation

Everybody Edits ended up growing into much more than a pet project supporting multiple full-time employees at one point in time. The project was taken over by Cape Copenhagen in 2013 when I accepted my current job.
